Too Faced The Natural Nudes Palette

Sunday 17 May 2020

I'm sure that I am not the only one who has acquired a new found love of online shopping during lockdown.. Not that I need any more eyeshadow palettes (I'm sure you're all with me here) but I felt I deserved a little treat, and went for the new Too Faced Natural Nudes palette. I know everyone is probably thinking the same thing.. wow, another eyeshadow palette containing brown and pink shades.. But you have to admit, it is gorgeous! I reach for these shades on the daily for work, and I thought that this would make getting ready in the morning, that bit more exciting.

Packaging
I don't think there is anything too special about the packaging in all honesty. It is cardboard, and sort of looks like it says on the tin, without sounding rude. The palette itself states that it is a 'complexion inspired eye shadow palette' and I definitely think that you can see that from the overall design of the packaging. There is a mirror on the inside of the palette, and I do love to have a mirror in a chosen palette, as when it comes to taking it anywhere, there is no issue as to how to apply the product. It's not too bulky, which is also a plus in my eyes (if you pardon the pun..) It can easily be slipped into a bag, or larger makeup bag, without taking up too much space. Perfect.

The shade range
As said above, I am a sucker for any eyeshadow palette that contains pinks, browns and even orange shades. There is such a beautiful selection in this palette to take an eye look from being subtle to dramatic, full glam. I love that there is a mixture of shimmers and mattes, as I can find some palettes limiting when there is more shimmer/glitter shades. Personally, I don't like to use shimmer shades in the crease of my eyes, and this palette definitely gives you lots of options to choose from for building up the crease. I think my favourite colours have to be 'Golden Light' - any copper shade I am here for. The colour makes my blue eyes pop and I cannot wait to be living in that shade throughout the Autumn (has she really just mentioned Autumn already?!) 'Glistening Snow', 'Seashell' and 'Truffle'. I do have to add that the names of the shades, are pretty cute.

Overall
The payoff that these shades give are lovely too. Just what you would expect from a Too Faced shadow. The versatility of this palette is perfect, and I love that I can take the look from being subtle and natural, to something that's more glam and put together. This beauty was £35 - not too expensive in my eyes. There are 100% palettes out there that are of the same, if not, extremely similar quality that are a lot more expensive for 16 shadows. If like me, you're a fan of a warm toned brown/pink eyeshadow palette, this would be great for you. Although, if also like me, you own a lot of them already, why not add another to your collection haha!

What have you treated yourself too so far this lockdown period?

  1. This palette is so so gorgeous and the perfect selection of neutral tones. I definitely have an unhealthy obsession for neutral palettes, but I wouldn't mind this one myself!
