What I Have Been Loving Lately #3

Saturday 7 March 2020

I haven't done one of these on my blog for a little while now, and there have been a few things that have stood out as things that I have been loving lately. I have done a few 'favourites' posts before, but I don't tend to switch things up all that often - I am definitely a creature of habit. That being said, these are a few things that as of late, I have enjoyed or loved using.

Green Tea
Back in university, I had a massive thing for drinking green tea. All of a sudden that stopped, and I have really wanted to get back into it again. Due to this, I have also vowed to drink less tea and coffee, not for any particular reason, only really to make healthier choices. I have had a cheeky 2 or 3 cups of tea in the last month or so, but I did used to drink that many cups a day, so I think I am doing well. Drinking green tea has been linked with so many health benefits, and doesn't leave me feeling super bloated afterwards which I do tend to find tea and coffee make me feel.
This isn't me saying goodbye to tea and coffee forever (I don't think I could ever do that haha), it's just hello to making drinking green tea every morning, a new habit.

Zoeva Makeup Brushes
One massive change to my makeup routine currently, has been swapping out my beloved Real Technique sponge and using these 2 amazing Zoeva brushes to blend in my foundation and my concealer. I have never been a lover of using brushes to blend in base products. To be honest, I don't really know what came over me one morning to choose to use a brush and not my usual sponge. But I haven't looked back since. Of course, the Real Techinque sponge does an amazing job, everything always looks seemless and blends to look like your own skin, but there is something about the efficiency of using a brush that makes me love using it. My base is done in half the time, and in the morning before work, it's a massive win.

White Eyeshadow
Bit of a random one - but I have loved putting a bright white eyeshadow into the inner corner of my eyes daily, after I have put on a bit of eyeshadow. It brightens up the eye dramatically, and looks lovely with a bit of highlight on the top. The one I have been using is the white in the Jeffree Star Blood Sugar palette.

GHD Heat Protect spray
I haven't ever really been one to use a heat protectant on my hair (bad I know) but I thought it would be an added, unneccesary step once leaving the shower. I rarely blow dry my hair. The only heat I use on my hair are my straighteners and curlers occasionally. I have seen a dramatic difference in the shine of my hair, and it smells incredible!

What have you been loving lately?
