Goals For The Rest Of The Year

Saturday, 7 September 2019

I wanted to start a list of all the things I wanted to achieve, or do by the end of the year and thought to write a blog post, in the hope that it will be more substantial, and a viable reason to get my arse in gear. Here is a list of the things I want to do before the year is through.

Upgrade my bedroom a little
Funnily enough, last Christmas (</3) my Nan gave me some money to give my room a little bit of a do up. I want some new bits of furniture, and I am still yet to place any kind of order. I've been eyeing up a shelf ladder (that's definitely not what they are called, apologies) to replace one of the cabinets in my room. I originally wanted to put shelves up, but can't due to the boiler being behind my wall, so a shelf ladder it is. It will display my ever growing candle collection, some cute photos, books, and a few wicker baskets at the bottom. Maybe even a fake plant or two.
I am also looking at purchasing a shoe rack for my wardrobe - so exciting I know. I just want to utilise the space I have. I don't own loads of pairs of shoes, but I think the shoe rack will tidy up my wardrobe, or at least seem that way in my head haha.

Positive mind set
It's sooo easy to get mixed up in everything that's going on. I feel that everything all seems to come at once. There is never an in between - it's all or nothing. When you are mixed up in it all, it can be hard to see the positives in every situation. It's more of an effort to be negative and easier to see the negative in all that surrounds us. I want to turn this on it's head, and make conscious effort to see the positives and hope that it has it's effects.

Birthday Planning
Plan something different for my birthday celebrations. Get everyone I love and care for together, and have a good time.

What're your goals for the rest of the year?
